Board Recognition Week is February 14 - 20, 2010. Board recognition will take place at our February 8th meeting.

Senior Reminders

Seniors: with an ACT of 15 and GPA of 2.5 qualify for MTAG (Mississippi Tuition Assistance Grant) $3000 free money to go to college in the state of Mississippi - seniors need to come by and get info on how to sign up!

 

Seniors: Health Care Career Fair - February 23, 2010 need to come by guidance office to sign list and receive field trip permission slip. This career fair is for students interested in any type of career in the medical and related fields it will be at the Jackson County Civic Center and is sponsored by Singing River Hospital Systems.

 

Seniors: FAFSA needs to be completed and submitted as soon as 2009 tax returns are completed. Most colleges require this information even if the student does not qualify for grant money.

 

  

OBJECTIVES:

  • Promote positive communication, cooperation, and support among parents, teachers, staff  and administrators.
  • Formally recognize students, teachers, parents, staff, and/or administrators, individually or corporately, as appropriate and authorized;
  • Engage in and promote fundraising and sponsorship opportunities to provide financial support to teachers and student programs not covered by the school district, on a case-by-case basis.
  • Engage in and promote educational activities which supplement/complement the school program.
  • Provide social or "fun" activities for the ECHS families;
  • Play an active role in easing transition for students and parents from middle school into the high school environment;
  • Perform these objectives through commitees, projects, and programs directed toward students, parents, teachers, and the general public.
